Higurashi no NAku Koro Ni. The anime where you expect cuteness but you get nightmare fuel!

Info: On one hot summer day in 1983, a transfer student named Maebara Keiichi comes to a peaceful rural village in Hinamizawa. There, he befriends his classmates Rena, Mion, Rika, and Satoko. Accepted as a full-fledged member of the "club," Keiichi and the gang plays all sorts of activities ranging from card and board games to hide-and-seek. But just as Keiichi was beginning to be assimilated in simple rural life, he stumbles upon the dark history of Hinamizawa. As Keiichi dives deeper into the mystery, he finds that his new found friends may not be all what they claim to be.

The anime has three series. The original, Kai (2), Rei (OVA series), and a special episode, but only the original is licensed. There is also two live action movies, light novels, numerous manga series, and drama CDs. Only a couple manga series are licensed.

The series is based on a series of Visual Novels. While it is an "all ages" game, that only means that it isn't Adult's Only, there is a lot of violence and like the anime it is NOT for everyone. Trust me.

Though I seem to know everything else about it. *shot*

I had some total sap moments while watching it, though. Like when Mion was torturing Satoko, I was crying until I couldn't watch it any more. *sapshot*

I also finished the first season only (like LONNGGGG ago, even before I got Oz into it).

And I got to like episode..6 of season 2...and got bored shitless. XD

But thats cuz its all boring stuff that you needed to know from the previous season (I never finished that part either though). XD

So I should prolly finish season 2...and season 3....even though I know what happens already. XD

I almost cried at that scene, but thankfully I kept in the tears. ;_; Poor Satako (even though I don't like her that much it was really sad. )
