Alice in the Country of Hearts

. . . What a weird way of Alice in Wonderland. I think it's copying Pandora Hearts??
I bought the book a month ago, and it sucks. All the boys in that book are kinda. . . ugly. ._.
I don't wanna be mean to the fans out there, but the mad hatter dude. . . ew. Break looks WAY better than him. The story says that everyone in the land of hearts are suppose to fall in love with Alice Liddel. The sister looks like sharon, Alice looks like Ada. Blood Dupre looks like . . no one. Peter White looks like Oz. It's just sad. I wanted the book because,

"MOM! OMG!! ITS ANOTHER ALICE IN WONDERLAND BOOK!!" <-- Fan of AIW. (Alice in Wonderland)

You need to remember Heart no Kuni no Alice is originally based off a video game that came out before Pandora Hearts ever did.

That alone should tell you not to expect anything impressive in terms of story line.

The characters obviously weren't copying PH either since the manga design is based off the game (which came out before PH started).

if anything the book is mainly for people who have played the game, or are just looking for sokmething to provide them with Bishie's (though if you read far enough it actually takes kind of a dark turn with Blood and Alice's relationship).

Also, if you think the character designs are "ugly" why did you buy the book (despite it being AiW related)? I mean the cover's have the same design as the inside, that alone should have been enough to turn you off if that was the case. xD;

The manga is more based around Heart no Kuni no Alice game.

However there's Clover no Kuni no Alice and another couple of games in the series as well

There are actually three main games for Kuni no Alice series: Heart, Clover and Joker.
Heart has been adapted into manga (with one extra chapter specifically for Joker), and all three I think is going to be present in the upcoming movie, which will be released this coming July 30.

So far my favorite is Joker no Kuni no Alice~

I don't think it's the best plot for a series ever, but for some reason I enjoy it as one of those easy lazy reads... especially when waiting for the next PH chapter to come out, it's a good distraction

And to think that Ishida Akira = Emily and Xerxes. XDDD
Joker has the same tone as Break!!!! OMG when I watched the trailer for the movie I was like "WOW it really is Joker!!! >w<" XDD

Yeah, a good distraction before PH chapters come out.
Oh yeah, since this is not an anime series but a manga based off from a game, I think this thread should be in the games section XD

To think the same voice actor plays my fav character in both PH and AICH... amazingness!!!!

Oh, and I was just listening to all the voices you linked me, and was wondering whether I was the only one quite surprised at Boris's voice o.O it's definetely not what I expected.. oh, and Pierce's voice for some reason annoys the crap out of me

Boris's voice is a little off-key for me.
He sounded like Shirou Emiya from F/SN much than sounding like Ishida Uryuu from Bleach. =_=
On the other hand, Pierce....Being voiced by Souichiro Hoshi eh D:

I loved Blood's voice too - another weird one though was Nightmare. His voice ended up a bit lower than I imagined... but oh well I'm so excited for when they sub it! And (fingers crossed) I hope that one day they could dub it... I'm also happy coz Joker seems to play a bigger part in the movie than he ever did in the manga. When I read the series I'd been looking forward to Volume 4 with him in it for sooo long and he only ended up there for one or two pages T.T

Yeah, the manga only had ONE CHAPTER for the Joker arc. I am disappoint. T______T

Vivaldi's voice is what I had imagined, right after reading one of the posts in the My Neoromance forum XDD
She was said to have a regal and commanding voice, which was right~ XD

Joker will of course play a big part~ His appearance in the movie will be meaningless if it's just a small one

I think the movie's in Japanese theatres at the mo, so we'll have to wait a while before it's out on DVD... also everytime I heard Joker go into the creepy voice, I think of Emily (I won't be able to get that out of my head)

And that laugh on the trailer. I was shuddering when I heard that o_O

Fortunately, even if we can't get the DVD, there's still some downloads like torrents, DDLs, etc.
And I'm betting the movie would be in MP4, AVI or MKV format, for those who want to watch it on their respective PCs. XD

Good point - when its available for download, i'm going to be desperate to get it! But it would be nice to get the DVD too if I can afford it...

That reminds me, Joker too much sounds like Athrun from Gundam SEED. XDDD
Akira Ishida is my favorite as well, since he voiced my fave from Persona 3, Ryoji Mochizuki~~~ XDD /o/
