I adore this series! For those who saw Baccano, its by the same creator...which also means another out of order story plot that confuses the shit out of you...but still makes sense(?)...

It seems that the both the anime and the manga have the plots in a different order (like chapter 6 would be episode 2, but chapter 1 would be episode 9...that sort of thing).

The series is based off the darker side of modern day Japan. Complete with the underground world, the mafia, gangs, old folk-lore tales, and many other abnormal existances. However it allows some funny parts to lighten the dark mood; curtosy of our many screwed up characters. xD

Did I mention we got gangsta otaku's who enjoy torture?

Based on characters my fav is with out a shadow of a doubt...Izaya Orihara. <3

He's this crazy psycotic sadist who loves to observe 'humans' when they are in complex and dangerous siuations. He alo gets bored very easily, and only takes interest in things that entertain him.

Let's say this...if Ryuuk from Deathnote was a human...he would be Izaya.

From the four episodes I've watched and the few chapters of the manga I've read so far, Durarara is awesome! I'm gonna try and catch up with the rest of the series tomorrow after school. XD

As for the whole 'potential fav character thing'.... that's a hard one It's so hard for me to choose! But if I had to choose according to the episodes I've seen thus far, I'd have to say my current favs are Izaya, Celty, and Kida. XD

Ooo Shizou is awesome too :3 Shinra struck me as kinda odd at first (I don't know why, but I don't trust guys in lab coats ;;>.> ) but he grew on me. XD Simon is great too with his 'Russian Sushi'. I also like Erika and Walker.

I found out Erika is actually a Fujioshi like me. XD

That instanlty made her awesome.

Walker is kinda boring...but way better when teamed with Erika. XD

(^I also love the end part where the wannabe gangster guy is like "Yo! Yo!! Hey man!!" and grabs his stuff and starts waving his fingers in the air XD I almost died!! )

I also like the scene from episode 7 where it shows all of Shizou's past jobs XD (One of them which was being in a Power Ranger's show LAWL)

And Izaya's 'I love humans!' speech when he was spinning around in that spinny chair.

2.) The past jobs was halarious. I laughed at both the Power Rangers one and the "McDonalds/Burger King" jobs. XD

OMG!!! Remember the cell phone scene? Well we got another scene similar to it!

The girl who had her cell crushed came back for revenge, and brought her boyfriend with her since Izaya won't fight women.

Only this time while they were interigating Mikado, Celty was the one to drop kick the guy into the ground and then Izaya appeared out of no where (aka- he was stalking Mikado at school) and started jumping on the man's back. Then he told the girl he admired her for be smart to bring her boyfriend and that he would like to make her his, but she's not his type. LMAO! XD

Then we FINALLY get notice of Mikado's true personality and who he really is (I already knew but still)!

Oh and i forgot to type it buttttt.....Izaya pretended to ride a motorcyle while making "vroom vroom" sounds. XD

God it was halarious. XD

I loved eppy 10! XD I died when Izaya started jumping on that girl's boyfriend's back. The scene where he was pretending to ride a motorcycle was just too cute!

And what makes this better is there will be plenty more Izaya and Celty now that they know who Mikado really is. <3

I wanna know where Izaya got his ringtone...I'm curious if it will be part of one of the new upcoming openings/endings...or if its his character song. XD

Just watched eppy 11.

And here is what I have to say.

1.) Mikado is BADASS. A good guy (kinda) who wants a happy ending..but is still BADASS about it! =D

2.) Shizou is awesumer then before. He can beat up a man in a yukata for asking him the meaning of life. The throws a motorcyle at Simon when he wasen't listening. XD

3.) HOLY MOTHER F--------EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shinra PURPOSED to CELTY!!!!! KYAAAAAAAAAAA *fangirl squeal*

4.) I hate Namie...seriously...though she is right to point out that Mikado is dangerous...the quiet ones always are. XD

5.) I also wish Seiji would go die now plz. He was awesme at first..now he's just annoying.

6.) Mikado can make a texting an epic way to get rid of people! XD Contacting all DOLLAR's members in like 3 seconds. XD Mikado is a awesome leader.

What's even better is almost every "nomal" citizen is a member of DOLLARS. XD

So the entire city gets filled with ringing of cell phones. XD

7.) LMAO @ Erika and Walkers's ringtones.

They are the "Want to try dying once?" from Hell girl and "You have mail my lord" from Kuroshitsuji! XD

8.) LMFAO! Event he local police are part of DOLLARS! As well as Celty and Izaya and Shizou and Simon!!! Hell even that Rio girl, the blonde foreigner, the group of bully girls are members!

Namie got OWNED! XD

9.) OMFG Issac and Miria from Baccano are in this eppy!!! And they are DOLLARS members!!! <333

10.) So apparently DOLLARS was created more as a joke for fun, but it completely took off. Plus DOLLARS is actually a gang that does good and "cleans up the trash". XD

11.) Celty is totally BADASS in this eppy! Plus everyone in the city gets to finally see Celty without her helmet.

12.) OMFG!! Seiji just DIE! He has the nerve to sneak out of the apartment and go after mikado to give back his girlfriend! >_>

13.) By the looks of the preview....we get a bit more on mikado's past in school. It brings up some girl that was likey his partner in creating DOLLARS.

and Izaya somehow end up with Celty's head. I think that maybe Seiji's GF actually took rsponsiblity and cut it off herself, cuz it showed her holding a knife.

All in all I loved this eppy.

I enjoyed the massive amount of DOLLARS members ganging up on Namie, and Celty and Mikado being badass. XD

Well I finally watched eppy 12 of DRRR!! (after almost forgetting cuz I've been in a KHR mood recently xD). And I have to say....

I LOVED IT! *___*

For these reason's;

1.) Major plot twist in terms of Celty's head and the stalker girl! It waalways the stalker girl Seiji was in love with, he just thought she has Celty's head after she dyed her hair the same colour.

2.) Seiji finally got his act together (kinda), admitted he could never love Mika (the stalker girl), but when he see's her he see's Celty's head. So he would accept her love. Then he started going to school agian. XD

3.) MORE IZAYA!!!

4.) Izaya x Mikado-ness!!! <333

5.) Random Shizzy moment with a vending machine. XD

6.) Izaya called out Mikado's online name, so Mikado now knows who Izaya is. XD

7.) Izaya skipping? across the street. XD

8.) Celty finally accepts herself the way she is! <3

9.) Celty x Shinra MOMENT!!! <3333333

10.) We find out Izaya has had Celty's head all along....o___o;;
