| Have you ever cooked something and it failed miserably? 1.Once i cooked cookies and it turned hard...like stone i couldn't even eat it! 2.Or when i i cooked cream puffs they turned out like poor cooked pancakes...they weren't even crunchy... 3.I tried cooking crepes....the batter ended up in the trash bin.... i have had many cooking failures so i never cook again...well i do sometimes..but i'm still too lazy to cook...i just want food to appear in front of me in an instant | |

| I think the only cooking faliures I did were...
When I tried making rice I lost track of time and it turned into Rice soup. xD
And when I accidentally put Vingar into my stir fry instead of oil...=_=;;
Other then that no mistakes in all like 12 years of cooking. xD

| I've failed at cooking/baking so many times, but one time sticks out in particular for me. It was purely based on stupidity and that I wasn't thinking straight. One time I was making some almond bars and the recipe called for a certain amount of melted butter. So you know what I did? I got out the butter stick, cut the amount that I needed, then put it in the microwave by itself. I didn't put it in a bowl or anything. Then I went to go chop the almonds while humming to myself and my grandma busted in the room and yelled, "What were you thinking, child?!!" The microwave and my scatterbrained-ness have never had a good relationship. In another instance when I was making a recipe that called for melted white chocolate chips. I put them in a bowl (thank goodness I remembered that) and set 'em in the microwave for three minutes. After a while I smelt burning and went to go check on them. I-I couldn't even tell it was white chocolate anymore... I've also been pretty paranoid about the frying pan as well. When I was younger I'd freak out when trying to flip over a grilled cheese sandwich. Recently, I've really improved at my cooking. 8D Now my grandma actually asks me to make her breakfast and lunch every once and a while so that must mean something. | |

| Egg.
Once I wanted to made a fried egg, but, I poured too much oil in the frying pan, so, it doesen't taste good. Since then, I can't cook egg. Ah, I can't cook porridge too, it always end badly.
The most delicious food that I can made is only Japanese food like takoyaki or onigiri. LOL

| @Ozu: Cookies..I failed on them too XP @Gil: Ah that has happened to me XDD @Oz: Oh my... XD
So usually my sister's would cook for me, but we got in a fight and they told me to go make my own dinner. The only thing was pasta where you have to add other ingredients in it. If you knew me, I SUCK at converting measurements (since I couldn't find the appropriate measurement thing...) so I put too much water in it and I had some lovely soupy pasta. When my sister's saw this they...Lets just say....Facepalm.
This happened on Easter and we were baking ready-to-bake cookies. I kept checking them and my mom yelled at me and so I went to go play Pokemon and then my mom yelled at me again to check the cookies and they were burnt...I blame Pokemon for ruining my cookies!!!!!!! XDDD

| @Breaku: Ohhh yikes >.< Yeah I don't like the oven XD @Break: I burn a lot of my food too! Especially on the grill. T~T
I remember I was grilling chicken and this huge burst of fire came up and I'm terrified of fire so I just ran away screaming and then my sister cooked the rest. There was only one black chicken wing on the plate... =_=

| Disasters... I mostly fail when I have a partner in cooking or I'm not paying attention. My father burns everything, so once I spent four hours looking up cookie dough recipes and hand picked the aspects I liked from each, made the ridiculously complicated cookies (they were some sort of almond and mint puff things and had like eight bajillion ingredients) and my dad stuck them in the oven so I could go shower the flour out of my hair. (Side note: flour is really hard to get out, and my hair still felt slimy in the shower for four days) When I got back out, he still hadn't taken the cookies that only needed about five minutes of baking out. They had turned into these horrible charred black bricks and there was smoke in the oven. He's no longer allowed to cook with me.
Oh, once I also killed Steak Tartare. I made it, and it was pretty good, until the last ingredient, which was white pepper. I opened the pepper, but didn't think to look at the top. I knew for a fact that the top was covered and had little holes in it so the pepper wouldn't explode onto the food. Sure enough, I was wrong, and the entire thing of white pepper wound up swimming in my steak tartare. Naturally, I couldn't get ANY of it out, so I had to scrap all four pounds of it.
Oh, and once I mistook one spice for the another while making mashed potatoes for Vincent, and accidentally added this Southwest/Cayenne steak seasoning (I don't get why my dad had it, since he can't eat most spices) to my lovely whipped potatoes rather than dried minced vegetable and they wound up being sort of gross. The seasoning was really gross, so I wound up throwing it away because it was so weird.
Once I also set some tuna I was searing in a pan on fire, but it was only for a second, and it wound up being perfectly cooked once I flaked the little bit of singe off. Since then, though, I haven't succeeded in getting fire in my cooking pans
I did convince a chicken breast to explode, though. I guess it got some oil in the middle, since they were all butterflied, and it got especially hot or something, since suddenly it just popped into the air and exploded, splattering me with hot grease. It hurt. Tasted fine, though.
My other mistakes tend to be minor things, like grabbing chicken bullion rather than beef (beef rather than chicken would be majorly bad), or forgetting to take the seeds out of cucumbers.

| I think close to every time I use a blender somethiing bad happens to it. The 1st time the lid flew off and everything literately spewed out, the 2nd time I broke it, and when we got a new one I didn't put the blade in the bottom correctly, so by the time I was done, there was no longer anything in the actual pitcher, and the contents were all over the counter -_- it's safe to say that I rarely use the blender anymore. | |

| O-oh my....cooking faliures~ Im alright at cooking....but there was one time where myself and my group in foods class failed horribly....
So, We were making biscuits in foods class back in gr.9. The recipe called for baking...soda i think? Not only did we put in baking soda, but baking powder as well, and those two should never be in the same mixture at once, from what i heard at least. i think we added too much flour too.... We could tell that these werent right when the batter was extremely dry, super flaky, and did not stay together at all. But, we put little clumps on the baking tray and put them in the oven anyway. Even after a half an hour cooking in the oven, they didnt look any different from when we put them in(minus the fact they were a little yellow.) They looked /alright/, so we decided to try one. They were as hard as a rock, tasted strongly like vinegar, and were just disgusting. One of my group members said that he chucked one at his annoying neighbour when he got home. So, i guess they made great rocks instead of biscuits.

| Attempted sugar cookies today. When the timer set off, I excitedly opened the oven door with dreams of delicious doughy goodness. Instead I saw this: W-whoops.... It was really hard to get rid of too. I couldn't scrape it off with a spatula at full force, so I had to soak it in water for nearly an hour. Hehe... | |

I don't know if you call this a cooking failure... I don't think it is but.... One time I was about to microwave something that was wrapped in alluminum foil and my sister saw this and she came over and beat the crap out of me and yelled, "THAT SH*T EXPLODES IN MICROWAVES YOU KNOW?!?!"
Never will I do that again. XDDD
