| Right.
I like the positioning of the images and the backgrounds that you've used. Although I think they might be better with a bit of layers of colouring using textures set to multiply, screen, overlay(or whatever works best) or selective colour and to make the images stand out a bit more it can sometimes be good to duplicate it and set it to soft light and if thats to dark create a screen layer and adjust the opacity a bit till it's not too bright.
I'm not so great at explaining things(and no expert myself at making graphics) so if youd like I could point you in the direction of some good tutorials?

| I think I understand what you mean, I'm just not particularly fond of some of the effects, cos I'm scared I'll over-do them ^^''' The backgrounds that I've put here have used textures mostly, although the textures that my Photoshop has are quite limited =/ I tried like an overlay kind of thing with opacity effects on But... If you know any good ones that would be amazing!! Thank you <3 | |

| I know what you mean about overdoing it, sometimes lots of colours/effects work others it's best to leave more plain.
Some good places for tutorials on livejournal: Icon_tutorial community Anime and manga tutorial list list of tutorials
Specific colouring tutorials that I think are good: one two three four five six
Banners one two three four five six seven
Other usefull things: quide to layer modes guide to using textures
Some PSD. files that I use quite often
I have a few more but I need to go soon, so I'll add the rest later.
