Anime or manga?

Which one do you prefer?

Personally I go for manga, it offers more freedom in taking a story, letting you read at your own pace, being able to backtrack more easily, being able to use your imagination a little more, etc, etc.

I voted Manga~!^^ After all, i gotta observe and learn from the masters if i ever wanna draw the stuff right? >D

I choose manga.
One reason: Because if it's the manga, the story will be detailed and be expanded. Unlike in the anime version, some scenes have been shortened and/or cut off (which is a bit annoying XD)

I like things in action and stuff....I guess. XD
Plus when I read I'm a really slow reader so it takes me a while to finish one chapter. XD

Mangaaa all the way!! It lets me read at my own pace, I never have to wonder if something is canon or filler, I can pay attention to details and know the author intended them to be there, and no anime can match the epic visuals I have in my head when I read.

Sometimes, though, the anime was created before the manga, and in that case I'd rather watch whatever came first - ie: whatever's closest to the creator's own vision.

Manga because like most of you have mentioned before about reading at your own pace, etc etc.

But anime can be good at times because I like seeing things brought to "life", and sometimes if I don't understand something in the manga, the anime explains well to me. Plus some anime originals are really good! (e.g. AnoHana).

I say manga because it's portable. You can take it basically anywhere with you unlike anime (unless you have a mini dvd player, but most people don't).

Although it really depends. xD

Manga, because the stories are more fleshed out, and characters typically better developed over time. I love anime, but in some, they end with inconclusive and unsastisfying endings, and with manga you're almost always gaurenteed some degree of finality.

There is no way I'm picking at all. XD

While I will agree in terms that 98% of the time the manga is always better, that doesn't always mean I perfer one version over the other. XD

I usually judge the anime as it own thing, rather then consistantly compare it to its original source content. It makes it more enjoyable to watch.

So my answer is BOTH.
